We finally reached the decision that we just did not like the taste of meat rabbits compared to the meat chickens we raised so we sold our
breeding stock to JP Sides of Wood Song Farms in
Greenville, TX. We do have 3 rabbits we've kept as pets. Below you can see their winter hutch with sides that fold down and the summer extension of 3 added wire cages so they can come out and enjoy the sun shine. I
keep a shade cloth over the cages - doesn't look very pretty but keeps the rabbits cool, which is more important! Pop and Millie (the geese) are peeking over the bottom edge of the picture. |
