Who has time for hobbies living on a working homestead? Hobbies are sanity preservers, for relaxation and creativity outside of homesteading.
John's hobbies are MORE computer work. No, just kidding. Some of his hobbies are model trains, sky or star gazing, working on hot air balloon crews, thought puzzles and candle making. My hobbies are writing, crocheting,
baking/cooking, reading and doll houses. |

My writings are mostly thoughts that come to me as I work around the homestead. Not really deep thoughts, but thought-provoking thoughts. I'm
putting a link to some of the writings
here - I hope you enjoy them and I hope I'm able to add more current writings as time goes on. |

My doll houses
are for sale once they are completed as our real house can only hold so many. I will also assemble specific doll houses on special order. Otherwise, I just pick out the one that interests me the most. |

My crocheting
has decreased with time, due to lack of time. Winter is the best season for crocheting for me - a warm fireplace, a good cup of coffee and an afghan to work on - what a wonderful way to spend the evening, IF a goat isn't kidding or the rabbits need feeding or ...well, you get the idea. Still I am open to custom orders on afghans, full sized or baby sized. Just let me know if you're interested in a special gift.

My baking and cooking hobby is just for our family and friends. No sales pitch here for this! I do love to home make bread. I love to knead the
dough myself, no bread machine for me. We've used our solar ovens for baking the bread when the wind is down. |
