Won't it be glorious to walk along the banks of the River of Life up in Heaven? I'm so glad God lets that same River flow down here. I'm not sure if that's what waters all the weeds I fight against in the yard and garden, but it sure is what feeds our souls here at Beulah Land. We hope you enjoy some restful moments as you visit with us.
But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah,
for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.
As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you,
As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
so will your God rejoice over you."
Isaiah 62:4, 5 NIV

John and I have gone through many stages in the 15 years we've lived here and right now we're seriously into the living simply stage. We've cut back on a lot of our homesteading ventures and we've added a few in the empty places that simplifying has created.
One of my newest adventures is quilting. I love the traditional quilt patterns rather than the 'quilt in a day' patterns. To me, a quilt should take time - that's why I do hand quilting vs. machine quilting. So if you're interesting in seeing my quilts , make sure you visit the Quilt pages. What better reason to make or have a quilt than to share it with a wonderful dog on the porch swing (Bud's a swinger!) on a spring morning?

My favorite quote from Blessing Your Husband
What if God had an end in mind that went beyond our
happiness, our comfort, our desire
to be infatuated and happy
as if the world were a perfect place?
What if God designed
our marriage to make us holy more
than to make us happy?
Now take out "marriage" and replace it with whatever you are struggling with!
